The California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) protects California consumers by educating them about contractors and construction law and by regulating the more than 316,000 licensed contractors in 43 different licensing classifications who operate in the state.  A variety of educational materials about hiring contractors are available on the web site.  Consumers can also check the status of a contractor's license online.

Established in 1886, the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) is one of the construction industry's oldest and most respected trade associations and the voice of professional roofing contractors worldwide.  NRCA provides a variety of resources to help home and building owners make informed decisions about replacing and maintaining their roofs.  These include an online membership directory that allows consumers to search for member roofing contractors by zip code, as well as a searchable technical database and glossary of roofing terms.

State Compensation Insurance Fund provides workers' compensation insurance to more California roofing contractors than any other carrier and is especially experienced with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) programs.  ADR programs provide injured workers with immediate, high quality medical care, free access to a worker advocate (Ombudsperson) to assist them with the claims process and a non-adversarial system for handling disputes.  Resolving problems without resorting to litigation greatly reduces employers' costs, too.  Association Members who are interested in participating in our ADR program are invited to contact Group Insurance Consultant Malcolm Desai at the phone number or e-mail address above for additional information
